Product Description Depending on your body's daily condition, you might benefit from either a low or high intensity training session. This monitor checks your daily condition, and guides you to a suitable intensity.
Amazon.com Product Description The Polar F6 heart rate monitor is a great choice for using in large groups where other exercisers might be using wireless training gear that could interfere with your own signal. The F6's coded transmission prevents crosstalk with other monitors so you'll get a personalized workout--even in a class environment. It's packed with innovative training features to help you toward your exercise goals, including:
The F6 displays your heart rate, exercise time, and average heart rate. | - Zone Pointer: A visible and audible feature on the display of your heart rate monitor showing your target heart rate zone and where your current heart rate is within that zone.
- Polar OwnCal: This feature shows your energy expenditure during one exercise session as well as your accumulated kilocalories during several exercise sessions. You can set daily and weekly exercise goals in terms of calorie expenditure with the OwnCal feature. Because the OwnCal tracks both the energy expenditure during one exercise session and the accumulated kilocalories during a longer time e.g. one week, it helps in achieving both short term and long term goals.
- Polar OwnZone: This feature guides you through an appropriate warm-up routine and automatically determines a safe and effective exercise heart rate zone--your OwnZone--while taking into account your current physical condition.
- Polar OwnCode: This technology blocks unwanted signals from other heart rate monitors, ensuring disturbance-free transmission of your heart rate data.
The Fitness Bullets feature shows a bullet on the monitor's display for every 10 minutes spent exercising/training in your target heart rate zone. The Time in Target Zone feature calculates the amount of total exercise time spent in your personal target zone. You can use this feature together with the Total Exercise Time to determine the effectiveness of your exercise program. You can also better assess your training data using the included Polar Precision Performance (PPP) 4.0 software and the SonicLink feature, which wirelessly uploads exercise settings to the software or to Polar's web service. Other features include: - Display of heart rate, exercise time and average heart rate
- 24-hour clock with day/week indicator and stopwatch
- Large easy-to-read display with split screen
- One-year average battery life
- Water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet)
Manufacturer's Warranty The original purchaser of this heart rate monitor is backed by a limited warranty that states that this product that the product will be free from defects in material or workmanship for two years from the date of purchase. Battery Failure, Greedy Polar $$$$, Never Again September 4, 2010 Diamondback (USA) Received the package with HR Band Strap receiver battery dead. User can not replace the battery. That is pretty much a scam to take your money $50+ for a new HR Strap / receiver where you must send it in.
This is a throw away watch. Have no mistake about that fact. Sportline has a battery replaceable HR strap that works better with the watch and is more comfortable. If you have to adhoc one together and salvage it to work before the watch battery dies in a year or two.
Buy a Timex instead, it is more water resistant, has better functions, and takes more abuse. Timex watchs and HR sensors are user battery replaceable.
Polar got my $$$ this time, but never again will I buy one and better yet against polar, I will spread the word about their shoddy work to my friends.
They are working 30 years in the past compared to other company's products.
Never again!!!
Good Heart Monitor... August 25, 2010 Amanda 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a good monitor. I use it at the gym and it doesn't get interferance from others around me! Love that! Also, the filing and diary features are great. I can look back at the last few weeks and see my averages and total calorie count and time spent exercising.
Polar F6 excercise motivator August 23, 2010 SB 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor is a fun little gadget to help you get motivated to work out. You can track how many calories are burned, and check that you're in your fat burning heart rate zone while you work out.
WIth regards to fit, my wrist is 5 3/4 inches in circumference and this watch fits perfectly. The watch can be adjusted as small as 4 1/4 inches to as big as 7 1/2 inches. The spacing between the adjustment holes is about 1/4 inches apart and there are 19 holes, so there is a wide range of adjustment options. The face is about 2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide.
The stock transmitter is just fine, it came in medium. It slips right under the band of my work out bra and stays there during cycling, running, and Tae Bo. I haven't had a problem with it slipping while I work out, and I work out pretty hard (average 450 calories per workout) and have been working out with it for about 7 weeks now.
The only downside is that the program Polar uses to download your workout information to your computer is not Mac compatible for the F6. So if you have a Mac, make sure to check that the Polar you are purchasing is Mac compatible, as Polar has made some of its newer Heart Rate Monitors Mac compatible.
I would order from this seller again. I ordered my product around midnight on a Saturday and got my F6 the following Monday! Quick!
Great! August 22, 2010 Stefanie 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love it! Occasionally I have a problem getting the strap placed correctly to register my heart rate. I am just wondering if I need a smaller sized strap though.

This was my first heart rate monitor purchase and I am pleased with how easy it is to use. I love that it calculates my calories and keeps a diary of what I have done for the week. Simple to use and comfortable. I would recommend it!
