Product Description PERFECT PUSHUP, LLC 1270594 The Perfect Pushup (EA)
Amazon.com Product Description Developed by a US Navy SEAL and as seen on TV, the Original Perfect Pushup uses the latest in biomechanics and engineering to achieve better results from pushup workouts. The units have comfortable rubberized grips, stable 8" bases with a gripping rubber finish, and a steel ball bearing rotational system. Smooth-rotating handles accelerate results by engaging more muscles in the arms, chest, shoulders, and back, while also reducing strain on wrists and elbows and stabilizing the shoulder joint. The Original Perfect Pushup works for any fitness level, and the included SEAL-inspired exercise chart demonstrates proper form and includes a customizable 21-day workout planner based on SEAL "two minute drills." The kit includes two patent-pending pushup handles, and instructional DVD, and the instructional poster. About Perfect Fitness The training principles and innovations behind the Perfect Pushup originated with Alden Mills, a seven year veteran of the US Navy SEALs. While serving as platoon commander, Alden's platoon was chosen for a study to determine why SEALs suffered unusually high injury rates. After learning the injuries were linked to age-old training methods, SEAL trainers switched to Functional Training. Alden learned firsthand how to incorporate these lessons into exercise routines that have become the foundation of techniques used at Perfect Fitness.

Perfect Pushup Review for the Average Guy September 6, 2010 Steven Wong (New Jersey) Here are the features the 'Perfect Pushup' describes:
* The pair patent-pending rotating pushup handles with comfortable rubberized grips
((Yes they are comfortable))
* Stable bases with rubber bottoms that grip well on carpet and all hard floor surfaces
((Again, yes, I was surprised how stable they were because of how light the handles are))
* Smooth, long lasting steel ball-bearing rotational systems
((Not 100% sure, but felt very durable and long lasting))
* Navy SEAL inspired exercise chart that shows proper pushup form and includes a workout planner based on SEAL 2 minute drills
((Never bothered with the chart, you probably won't either))
* The unique rotating handles helps speed up results by engaging more muscles in the arms, chest, shoulders, and back
((I found it made push ups more effective, but the results of this product is like doing any other variation of a pushup WITHOUT having to buy anything))
*CONCLUSION: Yes, this will better than doing a standard push up. But you can do other types of push ups (explosive, spiderman, incline, decline, etc) without having to buy equipment. So save yourself money and find how to do other pushups FOR FREE.
Easy Purchase September 5, 2010 Daniel Hollander The order was placed and the correct product was delivered with no hidden surprises. Can't ask for anything else!
Needs help September 2, 2010 L. Borman (Pflugerville, TX United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product isn't finished. They should have included optional suction cups for the bottom. That way I could use this awesome piece of equipment for something worthy - climbing buildings like spiderman! The name should be changed to spidey-climbers.
...A classical guitarist with pecs? September 1, 2010 musenji I'm a classical guitarist who worries a ton about his wrists. The top two reviews of this item are well thought out, and I recommend them. I also recommend the top negative review and note that it's focused more towards a special-case scenario. (I have had no trouble at all with my shoulders using this product.)
Pushups hurt my wrists. Using this doesn't.
It was much harder to use this the first couple times, simply because I wasn't used to it. After a couple days it started to feel better than pushups ever did.
I've done probably in the range of 3,000-4,000 pushups with this product, including a couple handstand pushups, and have had absolutely no problems with it so far. It runs as smoothly as the day I bought it, and I use it almost every day.
I purchased mine at Wal-Mart for $20 if I recall correctly. I got the set and a workout sheet.
The workout sheet is pretty helpful, at least in using a person's max reps to determine their individual workout sessions. I do the two-minute exercises as specified, though sometimes I take more than two minutes. I have not made use of their month-long plan; I simply notice when it's getting pretty easy to do a certain number of pushups, and bump the number up and/or put my feet higher. I try to mix it up a bit.
A few weeks ago, for the first time ever in my life, I jogged up some stairs and my pecs bounced a bit. It was a pretty cool moment that told me I was definitely getting somewhere.
Great piece of at home equipment August 27, 2010 B. Ebert (APO, Belgium) Simply put, I've been using this product for about two weeks and have seen a drastic improvement in the number of pushups I can do. Sore wrists are usually a problem for me, but the rotating motion helps to eliminate this.
The product comes with a great workout plan that also helps with your workout.
